Air Export Specialist will be responsible for preparing air shipments for export by checking documentation, confirming arrival of cargo at certain warehouses, booking space on airlines, preparing all necessary documentation, packages, labels, and certificates, getting on-board confirmation by telephone, web-sites, and sending DI’s to designated personnel at arrival ports and to clients.
- Support revenue target each month.
- Checkifor pre-alerts and make corrections as necessary.
- On board and provide confirmation of arrival of shipments.
- Trace and track shipments for airlines, truckers or other stations.
- File necessary documents.
- Arrange delivery.
- Check Inventory for shipping materials.
- Provide customer service and care to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate rates with airlines.
- Document and report any irregularities in a timely manner.
- Arrange warehouse work at Nippon's warehouse or outside warehouses
- Issue billing invoice within 3 days after delivery.
- Process payment to subcontractors, vendors and any outside parties
- Cost negotiation and renewal with vendors
- Overseas communication for Air Export related matters.
- Prepare quotation (estimate survey, collecting and calculation costs, issuing estimation letter) in timely manner.
- Follow up A/R in timely manner
- Prepare statistical number and market report for manager.
- Check cargo security and safety.
- Promptly advise upper management of service failures or problems that need to be addressed to the client directly
- Advise upper management promptly of any issues within the department, such as service failures, team performance, etc.
- Report the “End of Day Check List” to management in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned by management to meet the business demands to support the opertaions.
- Annual Salary Range: $67,724.80 - $70,000
- Minimum of 3 years experienc in Air Export
- Strong understanding of Air Export handling and/ or industry knowlledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook , Excel and PPT
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekend and holidays as needed to meet the business demands.
- Ability to effectively work independently
- Teamwork – Must work professionally and effectively with key office and operation staff in order to achieve optimal team performance.
- Maintain Professional and Technical Knowledge by staying current with important industry issues and laws/regulations.
- Communication/Feedback – Accept feedback willingly; develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, peers and co-workers.
- Process Improvement – Responsible for identifying and implementing new operations processes that increase efficiency and improve overall performance.
- Ability to manage special projects assigned by management
