Job description

Job Description:

Performs routine preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment with mechanical, electrical & hydraulic issues. Evaluates and recommends equipment changes to improve efficiency, and capability. Performs basic troubleshooting and diagnoses to find malfunctioning equipment. Repairs or replaces as quickly as possible to minimize downtime.

• Perform routine preventative plant maintenance on all plant machinery including oiling and greasing mechanical production equipment per production and program schedules.
• Checks machinery for leaking and fluid levels daily.
• Communicates non-compliance problems to supervisor to ensure that potential future issues are addressed to minimize downtime.
• Minimizes downtime by reviewing the operation of plant equipment and systems.
• Performs, in a timely manner, equipment basic failure analyses using basic problem-solving skills.
• Evaluates and recommends equipment changes to improve efficiency and capability.

• Quickly spots malfunctioning electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical parts that need repairs and makes changes to minimize downtime.
• Diagnoses equipment problems through a quick and effective basic root cause analysis.
• Prepares technical reports to document preventative maintenance issues.
• Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety,

alifications and Skills: and policy manuals).

· Basic computer skills.

· Proficient in basic math skills.

· Basic understanding of blueprint and electrical schematics to help find malfunctioning parts

· Solid communication skills.

· Ability to follow instructions

Basic problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.

· Work authorization: United States (Required)

Experience & Education:

· High school or equivalent

· Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience preferred.

· Prior metals experience helpful.

PPE Equipment:

Hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, arm guards, etc.
