Job Description
General Summary
Under general supervision, responsible for the delivery of educational and development programs that support clinical practice, staff development and competency. Responsible for the quality of clinical services delivered to ensure competency and performance of nursing staff and for designing and maintaining systems to support multidisciplinary team functioning. Develops strategies to enhance effectiveness of teams and work groups. Designs systems and provides services which promote the professional development of clinical staff from multiple disciplines. Serves as a key participant in organizational project teams and work groups.
Qualifications
Education and Experience

* Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing or Healthcare field is required.
* Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, or eligibility for licensure due to Compact state agreements outlined through the Maryland Board of Board of Nursing, is required.
* Minimum of three years of clinical experience required. Demonstrated success in a clinical leadership role required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Ability to independently develop and manage organizational level programs and projects. Ability to plan, organize and follow through on assignments and projects.
* Demonstrated highly effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated effectiveness as a group leader and participant. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple members of the health care and administrative leadership team.
* Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs.
