Job description

Job Summary:

Partner with the Sr. Director and Director, Talent Relations on long-term planning for athlete, celebrity and other talent needs for ESPN Films, ESPN+, 30 for 30, Sales Opportunities and other miscellaneous talent requests. Use creative and editorial judgment as it relates to talent for film and event projects. Attend various sporting, athlete and industry events to continue to build relationships and contacts.

Responsibilities:

•  Develop and maintain strong relationships with talent and their representatives.

•  Maintains updated contacts for athletes, coaches, managers, team executives, celebrities, agents, publicists and other representatives.

•  Provide concierge care and attention to athletes, celebrities, directors and internal ESPN talent involved in Original Content projects. This includes flights, hotel and ground transportation.

•  Collaborate closely with integration, marketing and public relations on go to market strategies for Films and ESPN+

• Curate and manage invites for premiere events, maintain rsvp lists, track attendance at events and prepare talent reports post event.

•  Travel to and on-site management of activations including key-art shoots, film premieres, film festival activations, etc.

•  Ensure proper follow up with athletes and agents post event (payments, airdates confirmed, social media engagement)

•  Monitor all budget items for shows and events and create final project budget reports

•  Handle follow-up on talent participation in a show or event to include thank you notes, sending photos and copies of shows.

Qualifications:

•  Understanding of Disney/ESPN brands

•  Must have 5+ years of booking experience (athletes, celebrities, music artists)

•  Must have 3+ event experience

•  Must demonstrate strong contacts with publicists and agents

• Able to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

• A creative strategist with the ability to generate solid ideas

• Professional and diplomatic in dealing with both internal and external personalities

• Must be highly organized and detail oriented

•  Must be a self-starter

•  Must have strong professional and personal ethics as well as exhibit a professional demeanor

•  Strong writing and communication skills

Basic Education:

•  Bachelor’s Degree

Role requires 50-60% travel

The hiring range for this position is 90,500 - 124,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position off
