Job Summary: The Paralegal provides legal support that protects the company. They assist with all contracting activities to include development, administration, and negotiation. ensuring that contracts are fair and legally binding. The Paralegal provides dependable legal advice and assistance to business stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Primary focus of this position is with contract administration and RFP management.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Coordinate with the outside legal team as needed.
- Review company legal documents for adequacy, including but not limited to, vendor agreements, client contracts, 3rd party/reseller agreements.
- Ensure that client agreements and warranties are standardized across the business leveraging best practices yet accounting for state/country differences.
- Assist with Federal, Commercial and International RFI, RFP, RFQ activities .
- Facilitate proposals, grants, white papers, and similar opportunities.
- Define, document and manage proposal processes utilizing RFPIO or similar system that automates and archives content.
- Identify subject matter experts relevant to proposal responses and work with them in pursuit of RFI, RFP, RFQ opportunities.
- Write and edit responses to proposals based on subject matter expert interviews.
- Conduct research for prospective requests for proposal/information (RFP or RFI) opportunities.
- Review marketing material for adequacy regarding claims of technical or functional claims of company product(s).
- Draft Statements-of-Work (SOWs) in concert with business development opportunities for existing and prospective customers.
- Prepare and proofread letters and other business correspondence.
- Maintain and update files of ongoing matters, including the organization and management of contracts and production documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program.
- At least 2 years of significant and substantive experience as a paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm setting.
- Experience managing document creation, standardization and management.
Skills & Competencies: - Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience using RFPIO software or similarprogram preferred not required.
- Excellent organization skills.

Physical Demands & Work Environment: - Ability to work at least 20 hours per week.
- Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse, and computer for up to 7 hours per day.
- Ability to utilize telephone for approximately 1 hour per day.
- Ability to lift and/or move at least 10 pounds.
- Ability to perform simple grasping, including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, etc. periodically throughout the entire workday.
- Continually remain in a stationary position throughout the day.
- Occasionally move about inside and outside the premises.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
