Job description
Our client a Electronics Design and Manufacturer in Troy Michigan, is seeking a self-motivated Manufacturing IT support candidate. The ideal candidate will become part of the Process Engineering team to assist the manufacturing operations team through providing development, training and support with business applications and hardware infrastructure that is utilized throughout the facility.
Major Responsibilities: • Documents and develops new and existing processes within the MES environment. • Works closely with Process Engineering team in support of manufacturing operations. • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, in support of manufacturing operations. • Support new development / project activities such as testing coordination, documentation, and training. • Configure, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain all applicable business applications, such as internal MES, ERP, Label printing software, and applicable manufacturing equipment software. • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, in support of manufacturing operations. • Maintain, diagnose, and create custom inquiries through the various SQL databases associated to the various business software applications. • Develop, implement, and maintain hardware and software level tracking of various platforms used on the manufacturing floor and throughout the facility. Secondary Responsibilities: • IT Support Technician works closely with employees to assist in troubleshooting computer hardware and software problems. • Applies an understanding of documented IT policies and practices to departmental technology requests. • Respond to and resolve technological issues for staff. • Interface with the IT Administrator team on incidents and problems that need higher level technical support. • Please note: Positions will be on-site 5 days a week, as the primary function of the role is to support the Manufacturing Operations Team. Qualifications: • Associate degree or greater in computer science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or other related discipline. • Must be a US citizen. • Basic understanding of network infrastructure systems, practices, and principles. • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. • Ability and desire to learn new and varying technologies quickly. • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment. • Interpersonal skills - Will need to be personable with staff and maintain a professional communication style and demeanor.
