DESCRIPTION OF WORK
An Accountant 3 is a professional accounting position that works closely with the Fiscal Director to ensure compliance with all requirements in the fiscal operations of the Lebanon County Mental Health / Intellectual Disabilities / Early Intervention Program (MH/ID/EI). This position performs a budgeting, accounting, and fiscal monitoring functions to assist with the classification, analysis, recording, review, processing, controlling, preparation, and maintenance of a variety of complex county, state, and federal fiscal accounting and banking records, financial statements and reports, and client accounts. Work also involves attending high level meetings, supervising the fiscal accounting assistant, and collaborating with associates on development and preparation activities. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Accountant II; or
- Three years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience, and graduation from a four year college or university, including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting.
- Four years of bookkeeping experience and 18 college credits in accounting may be substituted for college graduation.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
