Job description
Film Security Coordinator
Qualifications: Previous experience in film production security or a related field. Strong knowledge of security protocols and risk management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations. First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Security Planning :
- Attend Tech Scouts. Work with the customer to identify security needs for upcoming filming locations.
- Collaborate with the location team members to understand the specific Security requirements for each location.
Adapt to schedule changes to revise staffing levels to ensure proper staffing levels in the correct areas.
Identify and deploy position-specific guards for the entire run of show.
- Personnel Security:
- Enforce access control measures to ensure only authorized personnel can enter restricted areas.
- Deploy the proper levels of coverage at each location to ensure we are effective while always keeping our team safe.
- Equipment and Asset Security:
- Implement procedures to inventory and secure film equipment, cable, and other valuable assets.
- Communication:
- Act as the primary conduit security-related issues during production.
- Implement revisions to security coverage based upon changes to production schedule.
- Maintain open lines of communication with production and Nola Protection team members.
- Training and Awareness:
- Conduct security briefings, on-site inspections, and training sessions for security personnel to enforce company policies and raise awareness of security protocols.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure adherence to production’s security requirements.
- Problem Solving:
- Anticipate and resolve any issues or challenges related to filming locations, such as weather concerns or unforeseen obstacles.
- Inventory key pieces of equipment that will need guarding and report any successes/failures with necessary parties.
- Address any on-site issues promptly to maintain a positive relationship with the Locations department and the entire production Team.
- Investigate and document security incidents or breaches.
