Position Summary Can/Am is looking for a dedicated and thorough Quality Assurance Engineer with at least 3+ years of experience to ensure that all deliverables meet Can/Am’s standards and guidelines.
Can/Am is embarking on a rapid growth trajectory in the number of projects we sign and implement. You will be a key player in testing and managing the assurance of high-quality development, while working alongside a committed group of professionals.
In addition, you will be responsible for creating reports, plans, requirements, and scenarios for testing. You will report to the Director of Implementations.
Qualifications The candidate should be a fast learner with an aptitude for understanding and maintaining complex systems.
- At least 3+ years of experience as a quality assurance engineer
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Proficient in SQL scripting (Oracle preferred)
- Understanding of XML/HTML
- Proven experience of monitoring all stages of software development to identify and resolve issues
- Experience writing technical and user facing documentation
- Proven ability documenting issues and outlining clear remediation steps for technical/developer staff
- Experience reviewing system requirements and tracking quality assurance metrics
- Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with third-party vendors and clients
- Experience working on proprietary software (preferred)
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environments (preferred)
- Experience in cloud hosting/cloud based applications (preferred)
Responsibilities - Provide detailed analysis of functionality/bugs within the understanding of the greater business objective for the software
- Apply curiosity and critical thinking within the testing process with contextual knowledge for robust analysis
- Run Tests on New Software or Software Changes and Applications
- Record Defects and Issue Reports
- Provide Testing input into Software Design sessions
- Work with development teams to prevent issues with new products
- Provide feedback to developers and product managers based on test outcomes.
- Create test plans, requirements, scenarios and test data for use during testing
- Create QA reports and file bug tickets based on the outcome of QA test cycles
- Understand the Can/Am product suite and Implementation processes
- Ensure that new software products are ready for consumer use
- Identify bugs in new systems and understanding how to resolve them
- Understand and configure complex integrations to meet project deliverables
- Communicate with third party vendors, internal BA, and clients to gather necessary information concerning technical configuration requirements
- Be available for travel approx. once a month to provide support on-site
