Our client is looking for a NOC Analyst to lead the expansion into Ogden,UT. The NOC Analyst will work in the Network Operations space, responding to alerts, incidents, client requests, and tasks using various tools. This analyst role must be vendor-agnostic, having a general familiarity with a multitude of hardware/software environments. This position will manage triage and alert response for various networking technologies and related application technologies. Having a good understanding of event/alert log messages, the candidate will respond efficiently to issues. The NOC analyst will share responsibilities with re-occurring tasks such as technology reviews, alert trend analysis and best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for proactive monitoring of network infrastructure and services, swiftly detecting and resolving issues. Your role will involve responding to alerts and incidents, investigating root causes, and taking corrective actions promptly. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure incidents are resolved and escalated in a timely manner. Providing technical support at tier 1 and some tier 2 levels, you'll troubleshoot network-related problems and assist end-users when necessary. Keeping thorough incident records, documenting actions taken and solutions achieved will be crucial. Routine system maintenance tasks and configuration changes will fall under your purview. Leveraging network monitoring tools, you'll optimize network performance and identify potential vulnerabilities. Engaging in on-shift/on-call rotations for round-the-clock incident and emergency coverage will be required. Your insights will contribute to the enhancement of NOC procedures, documentation, and processes. Staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network operations is essential. You'll also play a role in supporting the NOC Director in fulfilling the company's mission. Additionally, you'll perform other related duties as assigned.
