Posting Summary

The Supportive Service for Veteran Families ( SSVF ) is a program that provides assistance to very low-income Veteran families who are experiencing homelessness and/or are at imminent risk of homelessness to gain and retain stable housing.

Provide support to the Supportive Services for Veteran Families ( SSVF ) program. Conduct Intake and Screening assessments and determine potential participant eligibility for the SSVF program based on SSVF program criteria. Once eligibility has been determined enroll the Veteran into the SSVF program. This includes but is not limited to, assessing the needs for services, entry into the Homeless Management Informational System ( HMIS ), communication of enrollment with the SSVF Outreach and Enrollment Team, referrals given if a Veteran is deemed to not be eligible for services Support Shallow Subsidy applications and documentation for Shallow Subsidy services. Complete reporting and tracking of services related to screening and intakes, outcomes, referrals, Shallow Subsidy TFA , Coordinated entry updates, client contact, caseload reports, and FBGT updates.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Associate’s in a related field and one to three years’ related experience required. Effective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required. Demonstrated ability to accurately attend to detail and to successfully work with a sensitive population requiring specific experiential knowledge required.

Desirable Qualifications

Experiential knowledge as a military veteran and/or with homelessness; training, education, or experience with social services support desirable. Knowledge of the HUD Homeless Management Information System desired.

Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Contingent on continued funding, This position is eligible for full-time telework in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position

FLSA Non-Exempt

Payband Max (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE)) 28.63

Payband Min (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE)) 16.84
