Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking a Technical Project Engineer to provide support to a Department of Defense organization. The Technical Project Engineer will be support a software development project in multiple areas including customer relationship management, agile project management, and testing support.

Location: Telework

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Serve as scrum master for a DoD software development project
• Maintain strong communication with Government customer and the customer's client
• Identify software requirements
• Support the prioritization of software development efforts
• Develop user-focused test cases based on project requirements
• Perform application testing
• Escalate potentional project issues
• Maintain an agile project management tracking system

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
• Software quality testing experience
• Strong computer skills; Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Word.
• Relationship management and customer service experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Agile project management experience, training, or certifications.
• Experience with agile project management systems such as JIRA
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. 
• Preferred:  Experience working with the federal government
• Preferred: Active DoD Secret clearance or position of public trust

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
