As part of the health care team, practices Pharmacy as a knowledge-based clinical profession, and integrates patient-oriented services with traditional distributive and drug control activities. Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers. Advises the same with respect to drug interactions, contraindications and other relevant information to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy. Serves all patients to include, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
The Pharmacist will be working 40hours/week with a mix of 12 and 8 hours shifts (working 4 days/week) plus weekend and holiday rotations.
REQUIRED:
1. Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
2. BLS Certification
3. Georgia Pharmacist License
PREFERRED:
1. Previous hospital pharmacy experience; pediatric/neonatal experience is a plus
2. Good communication skills for interaction with nursing and practitioners
