Inventory Control Specialist positions require candidates to:
- Ensure every piece of material is accurately coded and bin located in the ERP system in a manner that reflects their physical placement in the warehouse, whether in primary, secondary or tertiary placements. Inventory without a proper location is considered lost and is not permissible.
- Optimize the arrangement of materials in bins to facilitate faster picking and minimize errors. This entails a strategic placement of items to avoid confusion between similar materials.
- Regularly conduct cycle counts at the pace specified by management. Investigate discrepancies like shortages or overages, perform root cause analysis, and suggest strategies to reduce inventory variances.
- Foster active communication with various departments like sales teams, operations management, and central inventory control, ensuring seamless operational flows.
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for this Inventory Control Specialist position:
- 3 years of experience in distribution, logistics or inventory control
- 1 Year of Forklift experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to work Monday – Friday from 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
The starting pay rate for this Inventory Control Specialist position is $23.00 per hour, plus overtime as needed.
