Job description
The Idaho HealthCorps (IHC) AmeriCorps program partners community members with non-profits across Idaho. These community members serve in paid volunteer positions called AmeriCorps positions. These positions offer community members the opportunity to receive support while volunteering with their favorite non-profit. The opportunity is offered each year from Sept 1- Aug 31. The IHC program focuses on health education, health screenings , and promotion of overall health.
The Public Communications Representative will assist the CEO and other Marketing and
Development staff with reaching and retaining donors and volunteers. This member will communicate to potential donors and volunteers to secure meetings for CEO and staff, assist in the preparation of project plans, budgets, and reports. They will also assist with special events, support marketing activities, including mailings, social media postings, and promotional campaigns, and help compile data and assemble materials for visits from donors and agency partners. Applicant must be able to sit at a computer for lengthy periods of time, travel locally, have reliable transportation, stand, bend, stoop, and lift 50 pounds occasionally. Members do not participate in prohibited activities. Members do not duplicate or displace staff at the Host Site. Members with this program have recurring access to vulnerable populations.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years or older, must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident, pass a background check, complete 900 hours, participate in required training and service events, avoid Prohibited Activities
