Location: Port Washington, NY (Hybrid –3 Days in Office)
Position Overview: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will be responsible for taking ownership of the commercial go-to-market strategic plan, budget, operating cadence, and serve as a key business partner and advisor to the executive team. The VP, Commercial Finance will bring strategic and commercial insights to Sales, Marketing, and Portfolio Teams to drive commercial results, grow the business, and manage innovative ideas from ideation to execution.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees financial forecasting, annual budgeting, strategic plans, long range plans, and provides strategic financial support for key commercial leaders.
- Defines an innovative plan with engagement from Sales, Marketing, Portfolio, and Distributor Insights that maintains competitive advantages, keeps pace with the evolving marketplace and company strategy.
- Establish and track progress against agreed upon targets by reviewing monthly financial close and related management reporting and metrics.
- Manages the effectiveness of the Integrated Sales Planning process with the distributor with alignment to brand, channel, and geography.
- Leads the executive reviews with key leadership to drive commercial and business insights on current and future business trends, and provides recommendations to develop and sustain growth of the portfolio.
- Analyze business trends, identify opportunity areas and measure financial impacts.
- Becomes the trusted advisor of the leadership teams with key decisions and influences other functional areas (e.g., Sales, Finance, and Marketing).
- Leads the Sales Strategy localization effort providing recommendations to the Sales Strategy team; based off key levers/drivers, product pricing, marketing, and the brand’s competitive advantage strategy.
- Stands up governance with clear roles, decision rights, policies, and incentives that promote the behavior to drive the organization to achieve its vision.
- Provides guidance to Sales organization by adapting strategy to local markets based on market knowledge and analysis of outcomes from previous decisions made (e.g., ROI of resource allocation, brand pricing).
- Oversees pricing analysis and Sales promotion optimization to support Marketing and Commercial in building holistic portfolio and brand pricing strategies; sales insights and analytics activities.

- Reports to: CFO; Supervises: TBD, Analyst and oversees pricing execution and strategy
- Business Counsel/Accountability Relationships: Chief Sales/Marketing/Portfolio Officer & Org
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance required; MBA preferred.
- Experience in the wine and spirits industry preferred.
- Must be detailed, organized, and have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects.
· Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere.
Salary Range: $140,000-160,000/year.
