Job description
Excel Building Services is currently seeking a responsible day porter to service a warehouse for an exclusive customer of ours. Customer is located in Dublin, CA .
Summary:
The day porter position performs custodial work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas and other building interiors. The day porter helps ensure customer satisfaction, ensures target goals/deadlines are met and ensures they are following company policies and procedures.
Day Porter Responsibilities/Duties:
- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as needed
- Performs buffing, stripping, and waxing duties, as needed
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects, as needed
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Uses personal protective equipment correctly
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
- Adheres to location appearance guidelines
- Acts with a sense of urgency
- Shows initiative regarding job functions and accepts new responsibilities
- Timely completion of all assigned tasks
- Reporting and program deadlines are met
- Makes timely and sound decisions
- Produces quality work within pre-set time frames
- Other duties as assigned
Day Porter Qualifications:
- Some experience or knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment, desired
- Ability to work effectively with a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Dependable, reliable, and punctual
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
- Some English and Spanish preferred
- Authorized to work in the U.S. – We Use E-Verify
