AHN1258 - RN Psychiatric - Macon, GA - 13 Weeks Contract
Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for an experienced RN Psychiatric to work at our client's facility in Macon, GA.
Shift: Night
Responsibilities: - Gaging patients' psychiatric states.
- Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans.
- Administering psychotropic and similar medications.
- Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens.
- Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
- Restraining, consoling, and sometimes medicating highly unsettled patients.
- Recording patients' health journeys and reporting on notable alterations.
- Conducting targeted psycho education, particularly within families.
Requirements: - Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
- Must have 2 years exp in specialty.
- BLS/ACLS required.
- Valid RN license required (where applicable)
- One to three years psychiatric or substance abuse experience as an RN in a hospital setting required
- Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes
- Also have knowledge of age-specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior and crisis management and CPR training.
- Also certified in CPI
- Familiarity with cultural perceptions about psychiatric difficulties.
- Well-honed triaging, diagnostic, and clinical judgment capacities.
- Superb interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Resilience, immense empathy, and resolution.
