Job description
Canidium is a technical consulting company that provides guidance and expertise to our clients on implementing SPM (sales performance management) and CPQ (configure - price - quote) software.
The Accounting Intern II will contribute to the operations of the business by performing and/or assisting with bookkeeping, data entry and reporting. Ideal candidates are required to be in related undergrad university programs in at least their junior year or have prior related job experience. Canidium’s office is located in Old Town, Fort Collins, just a 5 minute drive from The Oval at CSU. Our team members enjoy the flexibility of hybrid work. We would like you to come to the office at least once a week and you’re welcome to work from home for the remaining time. The workload may vary week to week, but we request that you are available to work around 20 hours per week. We can be flexible with your class schedule. The Accounting Intern II will be responsible for the following:Assistance with domestic and international payroll prep
Database administration/maintenance
Month-End Close accounting tasks
Recurring general ledger entries and account reconciliations
Ad hoc analysis needs
Qualities of the Ideal Candidate:
Highly motivated student with self starter initiative and a "Can-Do" attitude
Interested in public or private accounting
Happy / willing to learn bookkeeping and the development of financial statements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level problem solving abilities and critical thinking
Attention to detail
Ability to apply concepts learned in school to daily activities
Professional organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks at once
Willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
Skills & Experience Needed:
Must be a current Junior/Senior undergraduate student or recent graduate of Business, Accounting, or a related field.
Knowledge and understanding of business math and business acumen.
Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
Canidium offers an hourly rate of $20 - $23.
Potential for growth within the department.
Those that work from the office at least 20 hours a month are eligible for a parking permit in the Old Town parking garage.
