Job description

The mission of the International Institute of New England (IINE) is to create opportunities for refugees and immigrants to succeed through resettlement, education, career advancement and pathways to citizenship. One of the oldest and largest human services organizations for New Americans in the region, IINE serves more than 4,000 people each year in Boston and Lowell, Massachusetts, and Manchester, New Hampshire. Our programs include case management, youth and family services, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), employment and skills training, and immigration legal services.

Overview
The Manager for Shelter Services plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day management and delivery of all shelter programs. Collaborating closely with the Shelter Services Director, Housing Manager as well as the Chief Program Officer, this position ensures the fulfillment of contract obligations and program goals. Emphasis is placed on excellence in service delivery and contract reporting. The Manager for Shelter Services is instrumental in maintaining contract compliance, managing staff training and supervision, overseeing core service delivery, and ensuring meticulous program documentation, reporting, and monitoring.


This leadership position holds a key role in the day-to-day operations of the shelter services, assuming leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director. Additionally, under the supervision of the Director, the Manager for Shelter Services actively supports the maintenance of relationships with public funders and other program stakeholders, such as community health centers, public benefits offices, and employers.

Covid-19 Policy

IINE does not require applicants for most positions to show proof of Covid-19. Some federal contracts, however, require IINE staff to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination, and some immigration status adjustments, such as a Green Card, require proof of Covid-19 vaccination as well.
