Salary range: The UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See the following table(s) for the current salary scale(s) for this position: . The current base salary range for this position is $70,500-$95,500. 'Off-scale' salaries, which yield compensation that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

Percent time: 100%

Anticipated start: Spring 2024

Position duration: One-year term position with the possibility of renewal

Position description

The Berkeley Center for Law and Business is seeking to hire a Fellow focused on corporate governance, sustainability, climate risk, and ESG.

The Berkeley Center for Law and Business is based at UC Berkeley School of Law, which benefits from one of the leading business law programs in the nation. The Center was a leading voice in environmental and social issues in corporate governance and the project is related to this goal.

The Fellow will work on projects related to the politics of corporate law, which are taking up board and management attention in recent years. At the same time, corporate choices are now becoming a core issue in the main political agenda and affects issues from proxy proposals and board oversight to court strategies. The project will involve research in legal literature, research in corporate practice on the ground, interview participation and organization, and legal memo drafting.
