For over 68 years, United Rehabilitation Services (URS) has provided a comprehensive continuum of services to meet the needs of children, adults and seniors with developmental and acquired disabilities throughout the Greater Dayton Region.

URS has the region’s only fully-inclusive Early Childhood Education Center serving typically-developing children and those with special needs. On-site nurses and therapies are available to support the children and adults we serve throughout the day. As a CARF accredited organization and a 5 Star rated program under Ohio Step Up to Quality, URS offers the highest quality of care for all children and adults of all abilities.

URS’ wide-array of programs include: Adult Day Services, Vocational Training in the URS Academy, Infant, Toddler, Preschool and School-Age Programs. Our on-site Therapy Center offers outpatient services in Physical, Occupational, Speech and Augmentative Communications.

URS offers community-based Employment Services, including Transition Youth and Project Search Programs to six counties in SW Ohio.

The IT Specialist at URS provides direct support to technology users across the organization.  This can include assisting with hardware or software set up, diagnosing connectivity or data access problems, answering questions about hardware or software, and helping users access shared drives and devices. The position also provides oversight of various digitally based networks including the phone system and agency cameras, support to hardware problems, updates to system software and tracking the data and communications used on the network.

QualificationsAssociate degree in a Technical Discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Specialized training through certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA Security) preferred. Good written, oral, electronic, and interpersonal communication skills.  Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in conjunction with time management, a keen attention to detail and self-motivation are a must.  Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software and programming is a plus! Experience working with children and adults with disabilities either in a rehabilitation program or residential setting is preferred.
