Job description
LaSalle Network is partnered with a renowned business management firm serving high-net-worth clients in the sports and entertainment industry. They are seeking an Head of Accounting to join their Nashville office, due to growth!
This firm provides financial and advisory services including accounting, tax, tour management and wealth preservation strategy. The Head of Accounting will be responsible for managing a team of staff accountants at both entry and senior levels. The ideal candidate for the Head of Accountingposition will have proven leadership experience and a "roll up your sleeves" mentality when it comes to supporting high-level accounting functions.
Head of Accounting Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day financial management performed by Senior Staff Accountants: bill pay, revenue tracking commission reporting, company specific accounting and reporting
Monitor the preparations of financial statements in adherence to business management related policies and procedures, including posting journal entries, account reconciliations, budgeting, cash management, workers comp audits, etc.
Present financial analysis, long term cash flow analysis and P&L reporting solutions
Ensure delivery of weekly client communications (cash reports, weekly updates)
Oversee creation, review and approval of budgets, shareholder payroll and 1099 reports
Work directly with the Management in recording and assessing estate planning, assets purchases, and investments
Review work and accuracy of Senior Staff Accountants (AP/AR, cash receipts, payroll, etc.).
Implement operational best business practices
Head of Accounting Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
8+ years of public accounting experience
3+ years of people management experience
CPA, CFP, or CMA required.
Experience in family office, entertainment, legal firms, preferred
