Job description
Gauthier, Alvarado & Associates, a Northern Virginia Architectural/Engineering firm, is a multi-disciplined engineering firm in Fairfax, Virginia. We provide Architectural, Interior, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical engineering for a variety of projects that include commercial office buildings, educational facilities, public agencies, and interior tenant build-outs. GAA is seeking an Interior Designer with experience in space planning, furniture coordination, interior finish selections and interior construction documents for educational, government, and commercial facilities. NCIDQ Certification is highly desirable.
The responsibilities of the candidate will include: preparation of studies, design, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration services. Good communication and writing skills are a must.
We are interested in candidates who are self-motivated, posses a great attitude and who will fit in as a vital member of our firm working closely with our in-house architects and structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers. The person will be involved in a variety of projects ranging throughout Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland. Candidates must be well-organized, clear communicators, and proficient in AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, Microsoft Word and Excel.
