Job Summary:
Role Summary: Lead a team responsible for global PR campaigns and franchise communications strategies. The role requires strategic and creative capabilities, significant internal and external partnering, and ability to juggle competing priorities. You’ll join a team of high-performing communication professionals who exude transformational thinking, creativity, and collaborative partnership.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee strategic PR planning and execution for campaigns, product/experience launches, franchise portfolios, and cross-functional communication projects for Disney Experiences
- Lead Disney Experiences’ communication strategies for enterprise-wide priorities and brand deposits that elevate Disney in the eyes of global media, fans, and consumers
- Identify opportunities for global storytelling and gain buy-in and consensus across the organization
- Present out communication plans and strategies to senior level company executives
- Collaborate closely with other leaders across the company to maximize partnership opportunities
- Report and analyze results to provide valuable insights for future strategies
- Lead creative brainstorm sessions to develop integrated PR tactics and concepts
- Manage and develop of a high performing team of communication professionals
- Manage PR budget and business plan development
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field
- 8-10 years of relevant experience including leadership of large, cross-functional teams
- You are a creative, self-directed and solution-focused leader who loves leading people and building up your team
- You have a strategic mindset and flair for disruptive thinking, creativity, and fresh ideas
- You are an exceptional writer and communicator, confident presenting to the most senior executives
- You bring a unique perspective and passion to the role
- You are knowledgeable about trends in the PR space
- You have experience successfully managing complex projects
- People have consistently praised you for your ability to build trust and relationships
- You are nimble, organized, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously, while paying close attention to detail
- You have experience working with traditional and digital media
Job Posting Company: The Walt Disney Company
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $163,500.00-$219,200.00. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
