INTERNSHIP PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
The 2024 Ulta Beauty GLOW Internship is a 10-week hybrid program tailored for college juniors, offering both Corporate and Supply Chain (DC) Internship Tracks. Interns will gain unique insights into their respective domains, contributing to real projects and dynamic initiatives within our corporate environment. The GLOW program provides real-world experience directly related to your academic discipline and career goals, offering a better understanding of your career options. The program spans 10 weeks and includes hands-on projects, cross-functional exposures, and professional development sessions.
- Hands-on experience working as a member of a specific department and team
- Assigned projects to accelerate learning of key functions/process
- Cross-functional departmental exposures
- Exposure to other business areas to ensure a full understanding of the company structure and strategy
- Professional development sessions and networking opportunities
- End of program presentation of project findings, and recommended course of action to leadership
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS INTERNSHIP:
Data Protection:
- Assist in establishing and executing on the data protection strategy (e.g. risk-based application inventory, data classification, access and encryption controls, data loss monitoring etc.).
- Develop and improve the data protection policies and standards to manage data risks.
- Establish program for documenting and monitoring data security controls to ensure safeguards are appropriate.
- Document business process flows to have insight on where data resides, how it’s processed, stored, shared and accessed across the organization.
- Educate and raise awareness to end users on best practices for data protection.
- Partner with key business units in proactively identifying security risks and building solutions, controls and processes for data protection program.
- Perform privacy impact assessments for business and IT Projects.
- Establish and report relevant metrics and KPIs to communicate status, demonstrate progress of the data protection strategy.
Security Advising:
- Interface with IT and business units to implement data protection safeguards.
- Work with enterprise teams in identifying enterprise solutions, tools for data protection initiatives.
Data Leakage Prevention
- Develop and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules to enhance data protection controls.
- Develop processes for enforcement and monitoring of data leakage violations.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree entering your junior or senior year of school.
- Strong academic record.
- Previous work experience and involvement with on-campus organizations or activities.
- Analytical thinking, collaborative mindset, and time management skills.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with management level personnel.
- Proven command of Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
- Excellent communication skills; feels comfortable working with non-technical business partners
- Highly motivated, proactive and ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to commit during the months of June – August 2024
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 / Hour with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
