This position will primarily support Long Term Disability ( LTD ), Life, Life Waiver, Appeals, and Supplemental Health. The Learning Specialist role requires an in-depth understanding of claim products and processes and an ability to train other employees using various learning best practices and techniques.
The LTD , Life, Life Waiver, Appeals, and Supplemental Health Claims Learning Specialist is responsible for supporting both new hire training as well as ongoing training needs. They will engage our business partners to provide departmental updates and maintain open communication and collaboration across product areas.
You are
A driven claims and/or training professional with a high degree of knowledge and experience supporting various claims products, experience with instructional content design and adult learning methodologies, and the ability to collaborate with internal business partners to support goals and objectives, lead change and implement new ideas.
You have
+ 3+ years in Disability Claims experience preferred in LTD , but may also include Life, Life Waiver, Appeals, and Supplemental Health products.
+ College degree preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
+ Experience in instructional content design and delivery is a plus.
+ Strong communication skills and the ability to support both in-person and virtual training environments.
+ The ability to work flexible hours to accommodate all time zones when required.
You will
+ Support and facilitate claims training to both newly hired Guardian employees and existing staff.
+ Participate in the design, development, implementation, and facilitation of Group Claims initiatives.
+ Create learning opportunities to extend our reach in training and offer additional learning options for various claims departments.
+ Assist with mentoring and coaching of other resources within the Group Claims Learning team.
+ Work with other members of the team to ensure consistency between all training programs.
+ Partner with internal resources (such as Quality Assurance) to understand key topics and trends for training.
+ Understand current industry trends and best practices as it relates to learning and claim processes.
+ Assist with the production and distribution of learning and development communications.
+ Evaluate and analyze trainees and provide coaching to improve performance as needed.
Location
This is a remote position with the ability to travel up to 10% to our Guardian claim office in Bethlehem, PA.
Salary Range
$56,680.00 – $85,015.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
