Job description

This role involves machining metal bar stock using automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms. We offer competitive pay, a variety of shifts, and ample opportunities for overtime. 2nd shift opportunities available with as much overtime as you can work! Shift Hours :
3:50pm - 3:05am; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
3:50pm - 10:05pm; Thursday
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints or job orders for product specifications and tooling instructions.
- Set up machines, including positioning and securing collets, bushings, and stock pushers, and loading bar stock into feeding mechanisms.
- Install and adjust cams, gears, and stops to control stock and tool movements at each station.
- Set cutting speeds and feed rates.
- Operate the machine, inspecting the first run and sample workpiece to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Replace worn tools and operate a bench grinder to sharpen tools.
- Adhere to safety policies, OSHA standards, and ISO requirements.
- Perform basic math operations and read measuring instruments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One to three months related experience and/or training in operating screw machines and/or precision machining equipment.
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, convert to decimals).
- Ability to read measuring instruments.
Compensation
We offer competitive pay, with a starting wage dependent on experience with screw machines and/or precision machining equipment. A $0.90/hour shift premium is available for 2nd shift.
