Title: Manager of Business Intelligence
Location: The Woodlands, TX 77381 (hybrid: 1-2 days onsite / 3-4 days remote)
Duration: Direct Hire Role

Job Description: The Manager of Business Intelligence will set the strategic vision for our data analytics capabilities and execute the plan to achieve business goals. Successful candidates will be passionate about leveraging technology and delivering data insights to create highly valuable change across the organization. This role will be fully responsible for collaborating across the business to understand their data and process automation needs. This will lead to managing a pipeline of data requests, process automation requests and participate in system integration projects. Ideally this candidate enjoys working across all business groups including finance, accounting, operations, sales and IT infrastructure to deliver new highly valuable process improvements and data analytics. This is a high profile role which has the opportunity to grow a team and make a big impact.
Job Responsibilities: - Collaborates with the business to implement more efficient processes and data analytics tools
- Solutions options to meet business goals whether through new applications, integration with third party vendors or direct data access
- Management of the Business Intelligence team to provide priorities, overseeing quality of work, goal setting and performance reviews.
- Establish best practice methods to track and measure project value delivery against current manual data processes ie. Time Saved, Equivalent FTEs
- Continue the evolution of citizen data science capabilities, allowing business teams to pull together data from disparate sources and find correlations and insights for operational productivity and financial benefits.
- Manage, mentor and coach the team to deliver on business insights and analytics
- Regularly hold meetings with management to communicate project updates
- Establish process to receive feedback on implemented projects to ensure the anticipated value creation was achieved
- Participate in M&A work to integrate acquired business into the BI platform as required
- Work with internal audit, external audit, and management with data change controls
- Compile & manage the annual BI team budget
- Other duties as assigned

Skills & Technology:
- Experience in the following
- Database architecture
- Data modeling, ETL
- Scripting languages such as SQL and Python
- Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI or Quicksight
- Familiarity with any Cloud Architecture with preference for AWS
- PostgreSQL
- APIs
- GIT
- Kubernetes and Docker
- Django or other web development frameworks
- CRM and/or ERP data integration
Education and Experience:
- Requires Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information management, data science/analytics or similar fields and 8 years of overall experience working with data
- Knowledge of the energy industry, ISO market data, Utility EDI data
- Knowledge of financial and energy forecasting, modeling preferred
- Demonstrated competency in delivering business insights and results
- Knowledge of data visualization and industry leading tools
- Knowledge of master data management processes and requirements as it relates to data and analytics
