Interior Designer

This position will be based out of our Irvine office. Must be able to travel 10-15% of the time within the state of California and Nevada.

Salary range: $65k-$70k

As an Interior Designer you will work collaboratively as part of a dynamic and growing team delivering outstanding design and technical expertise for our in-house design department. Our diverse practice includes renovation capital expenditure projects for Assisted Living, Memory Care and Independent Living for residential communities. Our team is responsible for balancing innovation, luxury, creativity, quality, and functionality while working to exceed goals and providing an environment that enhances the lives of the older adult. Through design, management, detailing, and communication, we help create an exceptional and impactful Senior Living environments.

Your Role:

• Design, document, and update furnishings specifications (including interior & exterior furniture, fabrics, window treatments, lamps, art, accessories, area rugs, plants & containers, etc.)
• Generate finishes plans,furniture specifications, and material selections needed for construction and purchasing.
• Knowledge of design principles, theories, color, and materials.
• Orders or obtains necessary materials, adhering to project and budget specifications.
• Creating initial design sketches, color themes and ideas based on programming and space availability
• Keep sample library organized with the team
• Highly flexible and able to work in a fast growing and changing environment and adjust to business needs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-7 years of Interior Design experience required.
• A Degree in Interior Design.
• Minimum of 1-5 years of related experience; experience in senior living or hospitality industry a plus.
• Strong communication skills, ability to organize and prioritize work, take initiative, and collaborate or work independently as the projects require.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Etc:

• AutoCad experience.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
