CNC LATHE SET-UP & OPERATION POSITION

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Technician to assist in the setup and programming of multi-axis CNC lathes or Swiss-style machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC lathe operations and be capable of setting up machines to produce precision metal components according to specifications.

• Set up CNC lathes to produce precision metal components.
• Program machines according to technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Select the appropriate tools and fixtures for each job.
• Perform test runs to verify the accuracy of machine setups.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments and offsets as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during production and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in CNC lathe setup and operation.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
• Ability to set up and program CNC lathe machines independently.
• Attention to detail and precision.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
