Position Overview:

We're seeking a Vice President of Mortgage Operations and Efficiency who will be a key player in driving our operational excellence. This role is perfect for someone passionate about leading a team to meet and exceed operational goals, manage staffing effectively, and ensure compliance across the board. You will oversee daily operations, forecast needs, and maintain open lines of communication with various stakeholders, all while contributing to our vibrant company culture. This position requires on-site presence and a commitment to outstanding performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and direction for daily operations, including processing, underwriting, funding, and servicing functions, as well as staffing and training initiatives.
Forecast mortgage pipeline requirements proactively.
Supervise team leads in processing and underwriting to ensure efficient pipeline management.
Enforce internal compliance policies and exceed customer service expectations.
Handle negotiations and resolve issues with our Origination team, brokers, and clients regarding processing, underwriting, pricing, program changes, and loan requests.
Develop, manage, and update department workflows, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with Sales, Senior Management, and support teams to drive company objectives.
Maintain effective communication with the Origination department and other relevant roles to address service level concerns and recommend process improvements.
Take on additional duties and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

2-5 years of experience in Business Purpose private money lending.
3-5 years of supervisory or management experience in mortgage operations, with a background in Business Purpose, hard money, or private lending.
Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage industry servicing processes.
Proficiency in interacting with borrowers of varying sophistication levels.
Strong communication skills, capable of directing the company's operations vision to team members.
Expertise in Loan Origination System (L.O.S.) Management.
