Job Description

Summary of Essential Job Duties: The Clinical Nurse III under the direction of the Associate Director, performs a variety of direct patient care activities or tasks specific to the unit/needs of the patient population. He/she maintains competency skills including ability to provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. This position will support The Procedure Center and provides both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as lumbar puncture, bone marrow biopsy, paracentesis and thoracentesis. It also provides services for the placement of vascular access devices including PICC lines (peripherally inserted central catheter) for inpatients and outpatients.
Educational Requirements: California RN License
BSN preferred.
License/Certification/Registration Requirements: BLS
ACLS
Experience: Direct patient care and strong IV skills; 2 or more years' experience in acute care setting; ICU experience preferred.
Physical Demands: Sitting, walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Exposure to normal office and clinical area noise.
