Lancaster Farming is looking for an Agriculture Journalist to join our team! The Ag Journalist should have a background in or interest in learning about agriculture. They will collaborate with editorial team colleagues to brainstorm, research and develop content for Lancaster Farming’s multiple print products and Lancasterfarming.com . Why work with us? - Cover ag-related events with expectation of quick turnaround for publication
- Hand in clean, fact-checked copy
- Assist with editing and proofreading with attention to detail
- Identify and explore trends in agriculture and rural life
- Develop reliable resources for interviews, quotes and background
- Work both independently and in a team
- Be a positive force in our newsroom
Requirements
- Journalism degree and/or significant newsroom experience, including use of AP style
- Agricultural background or sincere interest in learning about agriculture
- Photography and video experience or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with publishing software or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with digital news platforms or willingness to learn
