ITT’s Bridge Internship Program is a fantastic way to learn and develop your engineering skills, expand your professional network, and get a real-world experience before graduation. During your internship you will conduct various engineering projects for one of the most recognizable pump brands in the world. Interns will also obtain firsthand experience in the design and manufacture of engineered to order high specification industrial pumps and monitoring equipment during the course of a twelve to fifteen week experience. Position Summary:
We have engineering internship opportunities in our R&D center in Dearborn, MI. Our unique development and innovation processes create excellent learning opportunities for a variety of engineering fields, including: Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial, and NVH.
Interns are assigned a mentor and a project where they will gain valuable experience and contribute to the team while managing day-to-day duties. All interns will give a final presentation the management at the end of their term.
Job Description: NACME Dearborn Internship
A fundamental understanding of the operation of their discipline.
A basic understanding of safe processes and related behaviors.
Experience networking and building relationships inside and outside of the facility.
Exposure to other disciplines related to the project.
Additional responsibilities to be assigned as needed by management.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess the ability to work in an R&D lab and/or manufacturing facility. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
Dearborn, MI – R&D Lab
Learn and perform material tests, analyze data and provide timely results.
Provide technical test support for R&D, production and quality programs.
Prepare samples and test setup/preparation as required.
Develop a strong proficiency across a broad range of test protocols/methods.
Position Requirements:
Academic Schedule: June – August 2023 (full-time, 40 hours per week, 12-week internship)
