Job description

Hausch & Company is looking for a local Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team in our Elgin, IL office. The Business Intelligence Analyst will build dashboards, capture, review data, and report on any trends and patterns shown.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, dependable, team-oriented, and driven to produce quality work. They will have experience managing reports for stakeholders across all business functions, including marketing, claims, and operations.

Salary Range (80,000-85,000)

Responsibilities: 

• Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action.
• Create business intelligence tools or systems, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, or outputs.
• Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users.
• Collect business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources.
• Perform data analysis and data profiling to ensure data accuracy and quality.
• Develop and maintain data ETL processes using SQL, DAX and other relevant tools.

Requirements: 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Experience building dashboards in PowerBI is required
• Ability to collect and compile relevant data
• Strong business analytical skills
• Work well independently and as part of a team
• Thorough understanding of the company's business process
• 2-4 years of Power BI experience and writing DAX queries
• 2-4 years of SQL experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Cloud experience is a plus
