Granules Consumer Health is an End-to-end procurement for an Rx and OTC packaging facility that does in-house and contract-packaging. Candidate will work with existing suppliers including negotiating prices and maintaining component inventory to ensure continuous supply as per packaging requirements. In addition, the candidate will work to identify new suppliers.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: - Proactively identify new business opportunities, process improvement, and cost efficiencies.
- Provide insight to the business on how to best develop and leverage supplier capabilities for the organization.
- Develop and monitor supplier KPI's.
- Lead contract and pricing negotiations with suppliers. Manage contractual commitments.
- Closely collaborate with adjacent business departments, and external partners to ensure adequate and timely delivery of agreed services, in line with agreed service levels.
- Continually look for opportunities for cost reductions and cost avoidance to provide overall value.
- Arrange transportation of printed components from printer to respective packagers
Documentation Management. Communicates with suppliers of packaging materials to get all necessary information for FDA filings (i.e. DMF letters, LOAs, technical data sheets, COC/COA, test results, etc.). Helps in qualifying new suppliers and gathering documents as per QA and Regulatory requirements.
Reports & Meetings. Participate in weekly update calls to ensure smoothly packaging operation. Provide inventory update on research and at-risk products to ensure they are liquidated before getting short dated.
Costing and Bid Analysis. Provide insight on component pricing based on volumes to aid costing process
Other. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management. Assist packaging engineer with any required information, Assist Project Manager with any required information. Interact with Regulatory and QA team to address any concerns and requirements
Requirements
Minimum Requirements: - BS in Packaging Science, Material Science, or related engineering degree with equivalent packaging experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of supply chain and procurement experience in consumer products industries
- Understanding of FDA regulations and requirements for packaging components including bottles, caps, labels, cartons, type of materials used, etc.
Skills Required: Most important skills: excellent negotiation skills, knowledgeable with SAP, ability to identify, analyze and solve operating/packaging issues, outstanding ability to manage details, to manage multiple tasks and small projects simultaneously, and to work independently to meet deadlines. Proven oral and written communication skills required.
