Job description
This role involves debugging software changes and system enhancements using systematic tests to maintain quality standards. The role requires developing, modifying, and executing software test plans and automated scripts. Additionally, analyzing and writing test standards and procedures is also a part of the job. Furthermore, maintaining documentation of test results is necessary to assist in debugging and modifying software.
• Support the maintenance of the Production and Q/A ES gaming environment.
• Perform Local Quality Assurance, and CAT for all System changes, enhancements, and fixes.
• Develop comprehensive test documentation for all supported platforms and conduct the tests specified by software engineers.
• Collaborate with Software Developers and QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
• Execute test plans and scripts and document and analyse the results.
• Record, report, and track defects to accurately depict the status of the system and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support multiple databases with the ability to pull and analyse data – Databases include but not limited to Commercial Services and Business Intelligence
• Participate in the formation of documentation to be utilized during testing which includes game rules and SRS documents.
• Work closely with Software Engineers and project support teams to communicate issues and escalate any system environment issues in production, test system and backup systems.
• Collaborate closely with the lottery to perform CAT testing and verify software modifications.
• Collaborate with departments, coordinate, and support testing, ensure quality throughout software development. Identify and communicate business requirements between operations and development teams.
• Collaborate with Software Team on Game/Product enhancements, developments, and implementations of changes.
• Recommends continuous improvements within the Central Control System.
• Consults with management and staff regarding development, testing, and installation problems or malfunctions. Recommends solution.
• Support other Operation team functions as required.
• Monitor all incidents to closure. Remains on-call 24x7, to ensure immediate response to production emergencies, i.e., IMO process.
• Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Minimum Qualification:
• Bachelors in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
• 2 – 3 years proven experience as a QA tester or similar role
• Experience in project management and QA methodology
• Proficient with regression testing
• 2 - 3 years of experience with LINUX /UNIX
