Job description

Our client, a reputable company in the CPA industry, is seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join their team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks to support the financial operations of the company.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts receivable/payable
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations for improving financial performance
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
- Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and industry trends
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- CPA license or working towards CPA certification is a plus
