Position Title: Worship Leader

Summary of Position:  Organize and give leadership to all aspects of the Worship & Music Ministry of the Church.

Time Requirements: Part-time, varies week to week typically 10-15 hours a week with more time when planning/rehearsing for special events.

Job Overview

Frazier Baptist Church is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention with average weekly attendance over 200 located in Frazier, MO with their mailing address of 13601 SE State Route E, Agency, MO 64401. We are looking for a Worship Leader to help with the weekly planning of the music worship and to help lead a large group of musical volunteers.

Qualifications:

·         Personal character, lifestyle, family life, emotional life and physical state of health should be in accordance with 1 Timothy 3.

·         Passion to see others worship God.

·         Experience, and/or training in directing a choir and musicians.

·         A good grasp of music fundamentals with the ability to help others understand music.

·         Ability to recognize theologically grounded music that emphasizes and lends itself to congregational singing.

·         Demonstrate effectiveness and skills in organizational leadership.

·         A team player who works well with others and support the overall mission and vision of the church.

·         Be in agreement with the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message

Primary Responsibilities

·         Organize and lead the Worship & Music Ministry for all ages of the church.

·         Plan Sunday morning worship with the Pastor. Prepare PowerPoint slides for congregational worship. Provide “Order of Service” to church office weekly.

·         Lead congregational worship.

·         Be responsible for music/worship planning for special events throughout the year (Easter presentation, Harvest dinner, Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc.)

·         Organize and work with volunteers for special music.

·         Schedule and direct weekly and special rehearsals.

·         Recruit new members for the music ministry.

·         Coordinate with Audio/Visual ministry

·         Support Children’s Music ministry program.

This role is open to being adjusted and expanded in accordance with the gifting of the individual.

Compensation:

Dependent on experience, qualifications and expected responsibilities.
