Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering SMTS in San Francisco, CA:
Job Duties: Innovate and maintain a massive distributed systems engineering platform that ships hundreds of features to production for tens of millions of users across all industries every day. Utilize knowledge and experience with concurrency, large scale systems, proficiency with solving real-world data management challenges, a strong understanding of how to architect solutions that are highly available, and a proven ability to design, develop, and optimize the core back-end systems. Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools, frameworks, workflows, and validation platforms on Public Cloud such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or Alibaba. Design, develop, debug, and operate resilient distributed systems that run across thousands of compute nodes in multiple data centers. Use and contribute to open-source technology such as Spinnaker and Zookeeper. Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform. Write microservices on containerization frameworks. Resolve complex technical issues and drive innovations that improve system availability, resilience, and performance. Balance live-site management, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and one (1) year of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or one (1) year of experience in the job offered.
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering (any field)).
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Python; (2) TypeScript; (3) Golang; (4) Terraform; (5) R; (6) NoSQL; (7) Angular; (8) React; (9) HBase; and (10) DevOps. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
