Job Title: Dean of Students Reports To: Director of Academics; Head of Schools Salary: Ranges from $45,000 to $55,000 depending on experience Location: Keene, New HampshireWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Dean of Students to join our vibrant educational community. Summary of Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the day-to-day operations within the academic program. Specifically, the Dean of Students will coordinate the daily routine and solidify the academic schedule. In addition, there will be daily focus on maintaining safety and stability within the academic environment. Lastly, there will be a consistent focus on faculty training (ARC/TCI), skill development, assessing needs, and team building. Responsibilities and Duties: The Dean of Students functions as part of the academic and treatment team and is responsible for the education and supervision of students while in school. • Monitor all aspects of day-to-day operations with a specific focus on providing a safe secure environment for learning and managing critical incidents• Coordinate the daily routine and oversee morning and afternoon transition• Provide ongoing scheduled trainings for all academic faculty relating to ARC/TCI• Support completion of daily documentation including critical incidents, TCI physical managements etc.• Facilitate and document bi-monthly supervision meetings with all supervisees• Manage day to day personnel issues in support of the Academic Director• Oversee vehicle assignment and maintenance • Participate in scheduled team meetings as requested• Create and communicate a program vision that is supported internally at all levels and meets external expectations• Ensure facilities are safe and clean• Identify on an ongoing basis goals and objectives that support program enhancement and improvement efforts• Perform other job-related projects and activities as requested or directed.• Provides assistance in planning school field trips.• Participates in treatment team, systems and faculty meetings as required.• Maintains students' confidentiality at all times, report all pertinent information to supervisor.• Pursues appropriate channels of communication Mount Prospect Academy assures equal opportunity and public access and, if necessary, affirmative action in all its policies regarding employment and provision of services. Qualifications/Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: • At least 21 years of age• Have background in Human Services with strong communication, negotiation and skills.• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree with five years' experience in a related field. Two or more years' experience in a supervisory role.• Has a strong working knowledge of day-to-day systems and the importance of structure and consistency.• Can inspire students and faculty on a day-to-day basis.• Reliable transportation and the individual is required to meet safe driver guidelines as established by employer's insurance carrier.• Working knowledge of Special Education services to support academic delivery.• Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality.• Position requires criminal history background check.
