Job description
Eastridge Workforce Solutions has partnered with an innovator in the surfing industry in the search for an experienced Staff Accountant . Our client is at the forefront of innovation in the surfing industry, and we are seeking a dedicated professional to join their finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Controller with month-end financial reporting for all entities and related tasks.
- Monitor ERP systems of all entities to ensure timely closing of relevant modules, allowing for the preparation of royalty calculations, commission calculations, and sales-based administration fees.
- Actively participate in monthly reconciliations of financial activity for all entities.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and support the Controller in proactive measures to ensure compliance.
- Be actively involved in the monthly accounting closing cycle for all entities.
- Monitor general ledger and subledgers to maintain architectural integrity that supports compliance and management reporting.
- Assist in monthly processing of state sales tax.
- Distribute necessary tax documents to vendors on a yearly basis.
- Assist in requests related to risk management, insurance, and related matters.
- Ensure timely filing of state business documents and any other regulatory items.
- Assist the Global Controller in the completion of annual audits.
Requirements:
- Sufficient understanding of financial and statutory accounting concepts.
- Understanding of manufacturing and distribution workflows.
- Well-developed business, communication, and leadership skills with a flexible approach to work.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multiple departments and teams.
- Strong Excel, ERP, and database skills.
- Initiative and ability to be proactive.
- Highly organized, with the ability to coordinate and assist in numerous concurrent projects.
- Goal-driven with flexibility to work outside normal working hours.
