Job description
We are currently seeking candidates with garage door service and installation experience to join our team in Auburn, AL, US. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience in the industry, with a strong focus on attention to detail and customer service. Your main responsibilities will involve accurately measuring and following the manufacturer's instructions when installing garage doors and operators in both residential and commercial settings.
Additionally, you will need to possess the ability to diagnose existing systems and provide reliable solutions to customers. Exceptional customer service skills and effective communication with both customers and colleagues are essential for this role. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the safe loading, securing, and transportation of equipment for the staff
- Provide clients with clear instructions on how to perform routine maintenance on garage door systems
- Record all job details and materials used accurately in the computer system
- Thoroughly review product manuals during the installation of new systems
- Adhere to all company policies, standards, and safety protocols
- Use software to take notes, create quotes and send invoices
- Maintain company-provided service vehicle
- Present customers options after performing our detailed safety inspection and accurately diagnosing problems and issues
Qualifications:
- Must have garage door experience
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) completion is required
- The ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in maintenance, construction, or a related field would be advantageous
- Proficiency in arithmetic, problem-solving, and collaborative work is essential
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
