Position Overview
The Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for accounting, planning, reporting, and analysis of assigned business activity for the company. In this capacity, the incumbent executes GAAP compliant accounting and controls for assigned areas and provides support to business partners in budget development and management, and completes department-wide processes and projects.
- Complete recurring and ad-hoc trending on assigned areas, providing reporting to upper management and internal business partner leadership to aid in decision making.
- Collaborate with business partners in assigned business areas, calling out potential issues, explaining variances, and providing trending to aid in business partner owned budget areas.
- Develop annual budgets and forecast updates in assigned areas, provide insights and analysis to enable development of goals.
- Optimize department wide processes, identify improvements, drive the development, design and implementation of changes for assigned work area(s). This includes optimizing and automating excel files, determining optimal approach in collaboration with team members and business partners, and communicating and training team members and business partners on systems solutions and process changes.
- Lead on-boarding of new team members, serve as a resource for internal business partners on assigned areas.
- Complete and review select monthly balance sheet reconciliations by validating that all balances are supported in accordance with established Accounting practices, communicating balance composition and variance analysis to management, and by proposing adjusting journal entries.

Skills
- Specialized Knowledge : Budget and financial modeling knowledge; Experience with financial systems and software (e.g. GL package, Financial reporting system) preferred
- Special Skills : Proficient in Excel; Advanced problem-solving skills; Strong analytical skills; High level of attention to detail and accuracy of work; Professional communication skills.
Years Of Experience
- 5-7 : Minimum of five years of finance/accounting experience, including in depth understanding of key accounting principles and financial trending techniques.
