SAIC is looking to hire a Security Assistant at I MEF Camp Pendleton, CA.
Candidate should have expertise in DoD Information and Personnel Security Program manuals, instructions and orders, the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), working knowledge of the Nation Background Investigation Services (NBIS) system and relevant experience in security administration program.
Job Duties:
- Performing the following briefings: Indoctrination, Debriefings, Annual Refresher Training, event coordination, facility inspections, security container management, and Courier Briefings.
- Assist the Command Security Manager during Preliminary Inquiries to resolve collateral Security incidents.
- Assist the Command Security Manager utilizing technical expertise in initiating and leading construction or maintenance planning projects involving collateral workspaces.
- Assist the Command Security Manager: develop, update, and manage the following lifecycle documents for the management of the commands Information and Personnel Security program. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); Emergency Action Plans (EAP); Functional Area Checklists; Appointment Letters; Visitors Logs; Authorized Personnel Rosters; Accreditation Letters.
- Assist the Command Security Manager in the performance of the following: Security Manager Officer customer service; Process SIPR and NIPR account requests via multiple systems of record, Verify security clearance information utilizing the current DoD system of record; Execute Collateral Indoctrinations; Execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements (SF312); Collateral Briefings/Debriefings; Foreign Travel/Foreign Contact Report processing; Permanent Certification/Visit Request processing; State, Local, Tribal and Private Sector (SLPS) Clearance processing; Annual Refresher Training; Defense Travel Briefings; Subordinate Badge Requests; Collateral Visitor requests.
- Provide guidance to subordinate commands concerning security administration and updated policies and procedures coming out of the DoD, or HQMC.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of the HQMC Security Managers course semiannually.
- Support, manage and maintaining appropriate DoD and Federal databases related to the Security Managers Office (e.g DISS/EQIP/NBIS). Manage and maintain internal systems of record pertaining to personnel and information security records.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and (3) three years of experience; 4 more years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Security Clearance:
- Active Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
Required Skills:
- Ability to work and lead in a team environment with demonstrated experience in a range of security disciplines and excellent customer interface skills.
- Good analytical skills and be able to operate in a demanding environment while executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Be proficient and skilled in the most current version of Microsoft Office software.
Target salary range: $75,001 - $85,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
