Job description
JENNMAR Services, a staffing company specializing in employee placement for the energy industry, is currently seeking Meter Reader for one of our customers in the Shreveport, LA area. These are full-time positions with competitive salary and benefits available.

Job Responsibilities for Meter Reader:
- Read killwatts and demand meters (reset and seal demand meters)
- Record readings and enter them on electronic devices
- Observe and report any unsafe and unusual conditions, take appropriate action
- Read, verify accuracy, verify number, read demand types, reset, seal, and report broken seals.
- Install temporary seals, sealing/banding device if not properly sealed and report information.
- Operate company vehicles, with policies and state regulations, report necessary repairs.
- Complete meter readings and clerical work.
- Maintain records, tools, and equipment in a neat, clean and organized manner.
- Preform duties in accordance with the company’s safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain records and submit report when required.
- Make sure that meters are working, verify the correct meter is at the address, visually inspect that the display is working properly.
- Must not have a fear of dogs.
Job Requirements for Material Handler-B
- High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrate and pass all progression requirements
- Ability to write legibly and record accurately.
- Basic math
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean MVR
- Physical Ability Test (PAT) required
- Ability to lift 70lbs receptivity and stand an entire shift.
- Repetitive twisting, bending, or reaching out with arms/legs.
- Operate heavy vehicles/equipment.
- Ability to work any shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work both indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to pass background and drug& alcohol test required.
