Job description

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Forklift/Shipping and Receiving Operatives for a variety of upcoming temporary assignments In various cities across Ontario.

These positions are temporary assignments to help fill staffing shortages.

You will earn:

• $22.50-$30 per hour (depending on assignment)
• Hotel accommodations provided (when required)
• $30 per diem (when lodging required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspection and unloading/loading of received goods
• Use RF Scanner to prepare customer orders/incoming shipments
• Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks
• Prepare material movement lists for warehouse operators
• Checks bill of lading, packing slips etc. for accuracy
• Product inspection
• Performs basic housekeeping duties
• Building and breakdown of pallets
• Perform daily material handling equipment checks

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experienced and licensed forklift operator
• RF Scanner Experience
• Ability to follow set procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be physically fit with the ability to regularly lift between 30 - 50 lbs
• Basic Computer skills
• Able to complete regular workplace and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong English verbal and written communication skill
• High School graduate or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience.
