Job description
NUVIA UK's Technical Services department are recruiting for an experienced Senior Process Engineer. This is an embedded opportunity, supporting one of our leading clients within the nuclear industry. Location wise, you will be based in our client's office, on a hybrid basis, in Warrington. We are able to recruit on either a contract (Inside IR35) or permanent basis.
Please note the ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance is essential, as a minimum.
Project Description:
Decommissioning Encapsulation Plant, DEP
Feasibility design phase of the DEP which is required to grout containers containing “Contact Handleable Intermediate Level Waste” to support site wide decommissioning operations.
Contact Handleable Intermediate Level Waste, CHILW
Appraise and select design of a project to design a Decommissioning CHILW Container (DCC). The DCC is concrete box which stores CHILW unencapsulated for upto 20 years prior to encapsulation, and interim storage at SL prior to long term disposal in the GDF.
Role Description:
Produce and update process engineering deliverables to support the appraise and select design phase. The role will include work within a multidiscipline design team and with technical departments. Process engineering deliverables include; feed specification, waste product description, process description, flowsheet and basis of process safety.
