Job description
JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to maintain and repair the physical structures of NKDC buildings and maintain NKDC grounds. This position is full time (40 hours) or part time and may require after hours, weekend and overtime work to meet the needs of the corporation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to perform all work duties with minimal interruption to other staff occupying building
- Mow lawns, trim hedges, remove weeds, rakes and disposes of leaves and other debris
- Shovels snow from sidewalks and driveways surrounding NKDC buildings
- Spreads sand/salt on roads to prevent ice buildup
- Paints and repairs masonry, woodwork and building furnishings
- Builds, repairs and installs cabinets, counters, walls, floors, doors, building framework and trim
- Maintains and repairs plumbing and electrical fixtures
- Assembles furniture and other large equipment
- Moves furniture and equipment
- Maintains NKDC vehicles and performs routine inspections
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance thoughtfully, completely, and in a timely manner
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Washington State Driver's License
- Ability to use a broad range of power tools and other necessary equipment to complete projects
- Basic computer skills are required, as well as the ability to learn word processing, spread sheets and other software programs
- Preferred knowledge of electrical, plumbing, basic repair and maintenance and history or preventative maintenance duties
